PR at L for You. Born in Toyama, raised in his mother’s additive-free natural food cafe. Former fashion model — Paris Fashion Week, Uniqlo global campaign 2024. Now sharing the importance of real food from Minami-Aoyama.

This is my first post for the L for You blog, and I want to address one of the most common questions we receive from guests: “Is your cafe okay for families with young children?”

The short answer is yes. Here is why.

No Stairs, No Barriers — Stroller Access from the Street

Finding a truly stroller-accessible cafe in the Omotesando and Minami-Aoyama area is harder than it sounds. Many stylish cafes are located on upper floors, require folding strollers at the entrance, or simply lack the space to accommodate families comfortably.

L for You is a ground-floor street-level cafe. There are no stairs, no steps, no barriers between the sidewalk and your table. You can roll your stroller straight through the door and directly to your seat.

A Layout Designed with Strollers in Mind

The seating area near the entrance has been intentionally kept more spacious to accommodate guests arriving with strollers. You can park your stroller right beside your table without blocking other guests or feeling like you are in the way.

Dining out with a young child involves a constant mental load — is the baby okay, are people staring, is there enough room? At L for You, you can set that mental load down for a little while. The space is designed to make you feel welcome, not self-conscious.

A Natural Gathering Point for Local Families

The neighborhood around L for You includes several children’s activity schools, including ballet studios. Parents dropping off or picking up their children often stop by before or after class, and our staff are used to welcoming guests with young children.

Food You Can Actually Feel Good About Giving Your Child

This is the part I care most about.

Every item on the L for You menu is made without food additives as a standard practice. We use no refined white sugar. Our menu is gluten-free — we do not use wheat flour. The ingredients are simple, clean, and traceable.

When I was managing my diet seriously as a model, I noticed real differences in how I felt depending on what I ate — not just in terms of weight, but energy, skin, mood, and digestion. If adults can feel those changes, wouldn’t it matter even more for children, whose bodies are still developing?

The food at L for You is not complicated or restrictive-tasting. It is honest food made from good ingredients. For many parents, that simplicity is exactly what they are looking for.

A Place Where Families Are Welcome — Not Just Tolerated

Inside L for You cafe
A refined space to enjoy quality time with your family

There is a difference between a cafe that technically allows strollers and a cafe that is actually designed for families. L for You is the latter.

The step-free access, the thoughtful layout, the clean and simple ingredients, the allergy accommodations — none of these are afterthoughts. They reflect what we genuinely believe a good cafe should be: a place where everyone can eat well and feel at ease.

We hope to see you and your family soon.
